This project is a city council request that wants to give a new use of a 1.500m2 plot located in an urban area of this town, where there are residential buildings, offices, neighbourhood convenient shops, as well as an educational centre.

The main goal of this project is to provide the neighbourhood with a healthy sustainable playground, which promotes the observation, learning and socialization of its users; from children, to families, as well as office workers to businesses, even these business clientele at leisure time.

It projects a sustainable landscape, with Mediterranean vegetation and low maintenance cost, offering shade in summer, and sunny and warm areas in winter too. With the construction of this park, it is intended to promote and bring back nature in urban space by encouraging biodiversity, the observation of seasons change, the knowledge of our environment species, etc.  By means of the colonization of the park with plant species, small animals and microorganisms that seek refuge and food, it’s expected to find balance between park users and nature.  

It is planned to install 3 different elements, a bird-like wooden structure coming from sustainable forests, a point of observation and interpretation of the natural environment of the park and a display of nests from different bird species. 

The construction of a wooden platform aims to offer a neighbourhood, with a lack of social spaces and an educational centre, the possibility of having an attractive space to celebrate any cultural events, or simply the socialisation of young adolescents in a natural environment. The creation of poles from different materials such as stones or wood, likewise the design of different routes and materials for the youngest to have access into, all together is aimed to encourage the physical exercise of users in general, as well as the development of the motorization of the youngest.
